Guild Creative Drinks

45 Guild members aged 18-70 gathered in Chelsea for the Guild Creative Drinks in September.  We are very grateful to our hostess, Isis Ellis (Dove-Edwin, 1982, Cambray), for her generosity and for making us feel so welcome.

It was fascinating to see the diversity of jobs, hobbies and passions that come under the "Creative" banner.  It resulted in very lively and highly enjoyable conversations and networking.  These are some of the messages we have received:-

'I just wanted to thank you for organising such a lovely event yesterday evening. It was really nice to catch up with a few familiar faces and meet new people with a common background and interest.'

'Thank you for a fantastic evening. I had a  great time at the event.'

'Thank you for a lovely evening. It was wonderful to have the opportunity to talk to so many interesting ladies and hear about what they are all doing. It was my first Guild event and I’m very happy to have attended.'

'I just wanted to write in the express my gratitude for the lovely evening! It was super enjoyable and I felt really supported by yourself. I hope to see more of these events.'

'Thank you all, for your welcome hospitality and evident preparation-efforts put in beforehand, for that most congenial Thursday evening-gathering. It was great to have had such an opportunity to meet other Guild members, if initially ‘unknown’ to me, however, with whom we each shared the ‘relative familiarity’ of our ‘Coll’-background, of whichever ‘generation...! – and certain of our conversations revealed that we had ‘more in common’, perhaps, than we’d originally thought...! – so, all much appreciated...

'Thank you so much and a massive thank you to Isis.   It certainly was a privilege to be at her home and to meet so many interesting people.  Thank you for organising it all.'

'I thoroughly enjoyed the drinks evening and met some very interesting people from many different eras at CLC.  It was so kind of Isis to host the event and to welcome us all into her beautiful home. I think that hosting in London works well as attendees can travel there relatively easily from wherever they happen to live.  Thank you so much for organising it all and for sending out everyone's contact details. It was an inspired idea to host an evening for creative people. There was so much to share and time flew. I look forward to seeing what other Guild events are coming up.'
