Guild member, Alice Garnier (2012-2014, St Hilda's ), will be cycling 300 miles this summer to raise funds for breast cancer research. She gives some details below about the reasons and the journey:
I decided to take part in this cycle for charity because of my grandmother's death from breast cancer in 2000. Research and funding have made a huge difference in the survival rate of cancer patients, and I know that further support to the cause will make a cancer diagnostic as scary as a common cold - Breast Cancer Now’s aim is to eradicate breast cancer by 2050 through prevention as well as treatment.
We will be cycling as a group from Budapest to Zagreb in order to raise awareness and funds for research. This is an approximate map of the journey we will be doing: https://drive.google.com/open?id=1kL7yV6_UVWF59jZm5UnlYasjlqY&usp=sharing
The cycle will take place from the 26th June - 1st July, and I would really appreciate it if you could pass on my donation link to anyone interested in donating!
